i feeel certain that you can move the pieces by quantom movement at the atomic level like ibm done with the hard drive they wrote their logo on with a line of atoms...  how you would  move them is not the question rather, can the piece be moved at all? the answer remains as yes!

i wonder if he used a laser to etch the items, you wouldnt use  a belt sander on stuff that small would you!

rather incredible all the same.

aaah yes but the quantom machinery is big and adds to the overall size

so my chess set is the smallest 'playable' chess-set
i could probably make it smaller
the matchstick pincers are quite good you know!!
they pick-up the tinyest of things with accuracy and are very proficient!!

the other chess set i suppose could also be used using pincers but my chess-set includes pincers making us the first!

also their pieces are too big my pieces can be much smaller because we are printing them onto a small piece of card

QED!
